6:09 PM I'm just outside of
a small mountain town called Red Feather Lakes. I had a few Amazon book
sales today, so I drove to the little post office and saw smoke in the
sky. The fire is about 3 miles from the trailer, but seems to be over
a ridge and not threatening the campground. Threatening me though. So
I was reading my book sitting outside under the Yellow pines and thinking
of how I only have a little more than a month to enjoy this.
The pictures speak for themselves. The fire isn't close, so I'm preparing by listening to NPR and watching Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones - and the whatever - the one with Sean Connery. Have a quandry for tomorrow. If I stay high in the Rockies I have to leave the campground because everything is reserved for the weekend. However if I go low it will be over 100F tomorrow again, where it is only about 89 hottest up here - now about 80F. Don't want to go down, can't stay legally up here? What would George do? Hey! this capon has a date Saturday night! Night chickies.
