So
what are you chicklets all doing this morning? It's early hear in Colorado
and I'm preparing to head up to the 9000 ft level to scare fish. I'll
bring a camera. Exciting day ahead, blue skies as usual, and the prospect
of altitude sickness. Look out trout!

Tuesday, and so far went to coffee, mailed a book that sold (to
India) with Butch and went to coffee with Tom. Tom picked a hi--traffic
starbucks which is renowned for girl/lady/professional women watch. We
constructed yuppie coffee, camera and bookseller blind in the corner,
and dressed in polo shirts to match the other members of the herd. We
enjoyed ourselves, told many stories, some true (mine), some lies (figure
it out) and generally honored our role in society, our male equipment,
nostagically remembered in size and heroic actions (actually guys NEVER
talk about any of that - too close to home, so we talked about cameras,
and watched coyly from our coffee bean bag blind.
Yesterday I went with
Butch while he tried out a five dollar, beautiful, twin lens reflex film
camera at the flower gardens in front of Colorado State University. Here
are a few pictures from there.

and one more if you
can stand it.

Below are two rooms
in my brother's house where I am often found during the hot sunny hours
napping and browsing on the computer.

On the left is the breakfast
nook on the main floor of the house, and on the right is the dining
area next to the stairs that lead to the bottom floors. This is for
Rick who wanted a tour of the house. I'll add a few rooms each day.

Truck update: The front carrier
bearing was not in good shape so that added a day to the process, and
now they shipped the wrong part, so it will be one more day. Butch has
loaned me a truck to go back and forth to the trailer. Here's a shot of
the trailer at dawn in it's new position.

Notice how tight the
trailers are packed to each other. That is why this flockless rooster
prefers to boondock. Yet right now it is important to be close to Fort
Collins, and this is only 16 minutes from brother's house, so I'm making
due. Of course each night I get to wander through all the rooms of my
casa del rolltec and enjoy all the comforts of home - which it's all about.
Not to jinx the sphinx,
but a match.com chicklet is due to arrive at the door this graciously
appointed mobile historical monument and meet the chickless chicken hisself
on Wednesday night. Have to spiff up to some degree (there goes 15 minutes).
More later if it's not too humiliating, or maybe especially if it is humiliating.
Future ex-chicklet
number two, from the towing the truck episode of days of embarassment
forever - the series - wrote me a dear dope letter and bowed graciouly
out. And HOW CAN I BLAME her?
Later gators.Thanks
for alll the emails Rickster, evalyn, Kathy and TERESA write me chicklet.
Bye for now sparrowhawks.
