What happened to our world while we were at work? Preparation for an uncertain future due to the decreasing stocks of oil, global warming, and the collapsing economy.
I'm suffering a horrible cold. I am whiney and pissed about it, and the sound of my sobbing in the desert will probably draw coyotes soon. Good. I've left the door open for them.

So many people find denial a more comfortable strategy for the future, for there seem no good answers. True, alternative energies can't replace oil, being a drop of sunshine compared to an ocean of crude. HOWEVER, when you have NONE, even a drop is a lot. You can't change the world, or me, but you sure can change you. Get solar, get wind, get gardening, while you can.
